The Installation Experiment

For a little shy of two months this fall, the 1800 block of South Halsted in Chicago became the temporary home of The Installation Experiment, a collaboration between artists raging in age from 28 to 83, who assembled seven individual installation art pieces inside a block’s length of unused storefront windows. In addition to connected performances and events, the pieces were also received by audiences who weren’t out looking for art, but just happened to be passing by, day to day, on the busy street.
